Heartland Rural Electric Cooperative, Inc. (“Heartland”) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Journeyman Lineman.
The Journeyman Lineman position is responsible for providing manpower, knowledge and workmanship which are necessary to perform job duties for the proper construction, maintenance, and operation of the electric system. This position makes correct application and use of all materials and equipment furnished in order to provide efficient, reliable service to the member in the operation and maintenance of the electric system.
Job Classification: Non-Exempt, Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; occasional evening hours.

The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support to the Chief Operating Officer and the President of Downtown Topeka, Inc./Senior Vice President of the Greater Topeka Partnership ("GTP"). The Executive Assistant also performs administrative duties for the Chamber Board of Directors. This position is expected to have a positive interface and high service orientation when contacting the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce (“Chamber”), GTP and staff whether in person, over the phone or by email. Greets members and the public and provides information about the GTP, community and events.
Kansas Grain Inspection Service, Inc. (“KGIS”) is currently accepting applications for a full-time Grain Sampler at KGIS’ service point station in Kansas City, KS. This position is responsible for sampling trucks and railcars to obtain grain samples and prepare these samples for analysis.
Successful candidates will receive on-the-job training to use in obtaining necessary licensing. Candidates must be reliable, have strong mathematical and verbal skills, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and a strong work ethic are required.
Starting wage is $14.00 per hour offers a great benefit package which includes 401(K), health insurance, paid vacation and sick leave.

The Festival and Events Manager is responsible for preparing all event documentation and coordinating with necessary departments and business partners to ensure consistent, high level service throughout pre-event, event and post-event phases of events. This position must recognize opportunities to maximize revenue opportunities by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Further, this position must exhibit extensive knowledge about Topeka as well as friendly, outgoing, and professional traits.
