Background Checks

Background checks are a cost-effective screening tool to make certain your business is hiring the best candidate for the job. Conducting a background check adds value to a business in many ways. Primarily, the quality of new employees will improve if a background check is performed. In addition, background checks reduce negligent hiring risks.

It is important to make certain the correct forms required by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) are used in the background check process. Employers failing to comply with any of FCRA's requirements may be subject to lawsuits, depending on the nature of the violation.

CBS conducts background checks including, but not limited to:

  • Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) report
  • Criminal Background - Multi State Search
  • Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  • Professional reference
  • Employment verification
  • Education verification
  • Credit Report

What our clients say...

Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc.

Bruce Graham
Chief Executive Officer
Kansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc.

"HR Partners has helped us with those 'I’ll get around to it' things such as an employee handbook and updating employee files.  The most important benefit is they are a phone call away from peace of mind on all things HR.

It is a challenge for any employer to keep up on changes to personnel practices and requirements.  The suite of services HR Partners can provide is comprehensive and affordable.  The question should be, can you afford not to engage them as part of your employee relations program?"
