Position Title: Reservationist / Office Assistant
Job Classification: Part-time
Work Schedule: Varies, average 22 hours a week
Reporting Relationship: Owner/Chief Operations Officer
Pay Range: $12/hour, as determined by experience
Location: Topeka, KS

Cortez Transportation Company, Inc. was established in August of 2004. Over the last 20 years, Cortez Transportation Company has built a reputation of providing professional and reliable chauffeured ground transportation services in Northeast Kansas and beyond. Cortez Transportation Company, Inc. provides professional, reliable, and clean chauffeured ground transportation services utilizing sedans, SUVs, executive vans, stretch limousines, limo buses, limo coaches, executive shuttles, and executive coaches.

Primary Accountabilities:
Performs a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties, which includes providing a high level of customer service and support, while consistently producing an excellent work product.

Essential Duties:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the company culture, practices, business, and structure
  • Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to basic company policies, procedures, and processes
  • Demonstrates dedication to producing quality work product
  • Organizes and prioritizes workload appropriately
  • Maintains a sense of confidentiality with client and company personnel information
  • Utilizes resources appropriately to complete work in the most efficient manner
  • Utilizes available technology to carry out job responsibilities
  • Seeks ways to utilize technology to improve efficiency
  • Stock, organize and clean supply rooms and pantries
  • Conference area set up and clean up
  • Assist with moving boxes and light inter-office moves
  • Preparing new hire packets and meeting materials
  • Back up for COO/CFO – greet visitors, answer telephone, screen, and direct calls
  • Assist with general appearance of office
  • Takes initiative beyond routine responsibilities
  • Seeks out and accepts new responsibilities
  • Seeks development opportunities to enhance skills
  • Meets work deadlines as assigned
  • Owns mistakes and takes corrective action
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Physical Demands:

  • Prior office assistance and customer service experience preferred
  • Attention to detail and good organizational and analytical skills
  • Flexible attitude and the ability to deal well with changing assignments and priorities
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs..

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as requested by President or Chief Operations Officer.

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed indoors, outdoors, and a vehicle environment.
  • Interaction with staff, clients, and the general public.
