Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00
Location: Topeka, KS

The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator will manage all IT systems including hardware, software, maintenance, equipment, communications, and data security for the facility. The IT Coordinator will support IMI by designing systems that are cost effective, gain competitive advantage, and satisfy business information requirements.

Major Duties:

  • Planning, organization, implementation, and evaluation of IT and electronic data operations, processes, infrastructures, and software.
  • Ensure security of data, network, and backup systems.
  • Design, develop, and implement policies and procedures with an emphasis on security and compliance.
  • Control data access and security to IMI systems and ensure that the disaster recovery plan is up­ to-date and functional.
  • Support functional IT development and design projects on a timely basis.
  • Consult with administration, department managers, and production to exchange information, present new approaches, and discuss equipment and system changes.
  • Access and anticipate technology projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.
  • Oversee IT activities and goals of the organization by researching and implementing strategic technology solutions in both an office and manufacturing setting.


  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • 5-7 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, MAC OS, and client/server operating systems.
  • Broad range of application, network, infrastructure, desktop, and mobile devices knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Strong planning, organizational, and IT compliance proficiencies.
  • Ability to read, listen, analyze, and interpret program specifications and interpreting IT requests from non-IT professionals.
  • Detailed oriented, highly adaptable, and possess the ability to prioritize and multitask.

Physical Demands:

  • Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to read computer screens, email and talk on the phone.
  • Ability to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
  • Ability to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Ability to lift up to ten (10) pounds.

Work Environment: 

  • Professional and deadline-oriented environment in an office setting.
  • Interaction with team members and clients in both remote and on-site locations.
  • Occasional in and out-of-state travel with some overnight stays as needed.
  • Periodic weekend or evening work is expected.
